PRS Database preparation for landlords in Derbyshire
The PRS Database rollout is regional - here's what that means for landlords in Derbyshire, East Midlands.
Kept already stores property and certificate records that may matter to registration. A future workflow may show what is present or needs confirmation, surface official rollout information and export an organised checklist. It will not submit directly to the government database, and the workflow is not yet available in the app.
How it works, step by step
Preparation view
Planned: compare the property file with confirmed registration requirements and show what is present or needs confirmation. Missing information is not itself a finding of non-compliance.
Official rollout watch
Planned: surface official rollout dates and requirements for the relevant area rather than implying that Kept has a live government feed.
Guided handoff
Planned: organise an export and links for the official registration process. Registration itself remains a separate step completed by the landlord.
Straight answers.
Can I use the preparation checklist now?
Not yet. The current app tracks the underlying obligations and documents, but has no dedicated PRS preparation workflow.
When does this matter?
The process is expected to roll out regionally from late 2026, with dates and requirements subject to government announcements. Check GOV.UK for when it applies to your property.
What will it cost?
The current plan catalogue reserves the planned preparation support for the paid plans. Any government registration fee would remain separate, and Kept will not collect it on the government's behalf.
